EKP IS BACK [06 Nov 2009|08:37pm] lilithilien [ mood | jubilant ] [ music | Razorlight - Hostage of Love ] After a week and a half of pulling our hair out and shaking angry fists towards Luxembourg, we finally got back to what we should've been doing all along -- promoting this bloody Show! Yes, free publicity, RTL, why do you make this so hard? The situation's not ideal by any means. Instead of capturing clips directly from the video stream like we used to, now we're stuck spending literally hours on screencaptures. It's totally draining -- the RTL player is, quite frankly, crap. Everytime it stalls, I have to rebuffer and restart the recording. On about a third of the files the soundtrack comes out wonky. And even at its best, the quality is jerky because it is, after all, a string of screencaps. THANK GOD THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN BEFORE REUNION! Still! We posted episode* and we're getting comments again (they are like a drug, I tell you!) and I'm going to sit here and drink wine and spam like whoa. And if I have enough wine, I just might make a defiant "you can't take the Show sky from me" vid. Hope you're all ready for an awesome weekend! * This episode was nabbed before we left for Germany; it's not representative of the new stuff we're getting. yo! [05 Nov 2009|08:03pm] addme [tallulha] [ mood | bouncy ] NAME: Michelle AGE: 20 INTERESTS; I like mythology, folklore, legends-- any story rife with history and culture. I really love astronomy and psychology; socionics is a branch of personality psychology and it is AWESOME. Music, technology, science, books, art....I have been interested in everything but economics and politics at one point or another. HOBBIES; Playing piano and lounging about in hot tubs with a book. When it is warm out I love wandering outside in the woods or in towns/cities (not New York sized cities though, they freak me out) and exploring; biking or boating are cool too. I like to write and create art, in lieu of that I find something else to alter....whether that merely be rearranging my room. Work and school, also-- I'm a Psychology and Archeology student, currently unemployed as well as waiting to begin winter semester as a transfer student. Looong wait, it has been 3 months and about 1 to go still. LOOKING FOR; I'm not terribly discriminating. No spam? Intolerance and bigotry make me pissy? ANYTHING ELSE; Well, my favorite television shows are Merlin, Doctor Who, and Sherlock Holmes (Granada...Jeremy Brett is awesome). Battlestar Galactica (reimagined) is probably the best show ever, though it isn't my favorite. I love reading intelligent yet beautiful writing, such as Oscar Wilde; I also really like Tolkien and Conan Doyle. Classic rock (CCR, Blue Oyster Cult, Metallica, Boston, etc) is just gorgeous, but oftentimes nothing can beat a good piano concerto. The Shining is the best movie ever. [05 Nov 2009|08:44pm] jazzymegster I am supposed to be at Chelle's house watching a film about Eric Cantona (or something), except that when I went over, no-one was in. So here I am, on the internet yet again. On the other hand, I managed to get the Zodiac Spear in FFXII. I was after a mark, and ended up near where it's supposed to be, and this is still the game file where I thought I'd screwed it up. I HAVEN'T. I gave it to Basch at first, but he looks stupid using a spear (seriously; I'd read somewhere that you can tell what weapons someone should used based on their animation for it - for a trained soldier, Basch looks hella awkward. So I swapped him back to his previous weapons). Fran, on the other hand, looks awesome using it. She spins and thrusts with it and generally looks like she does know how to use one. I'm kind of glad to have her change weapons because I always have her using bows. I was trying to find a video as proof, but my google-fu sucks so you'll just have to trust me on this. And now I am at the point where the marks require actual strategy and not just hacking and slashing. Also one of them is in the Subterra of the Pharos and a) it is dark and scary and b) all the enemies totally pwned me *sigh* (which is annoying because I know if I went to the Bahamut now, I could whip Vayne's arse into the middle of next week). ~*~ I have nearly finished Bone. And I tried to draw Kingdok and Fone Bone but it is not as easy as it looks (namely because again I was working with no reference even though I had the comic right next to me. So Kingdok ended up looking reeeeeeeeally horrible. More horrible than he is supposed to look, I mean). post comment

I'm behind on my word count still but I got 2,000 words typed for it already and I'll be getting more done soon. I hope. I finished my late fandom obligation which finally when I only had 100 words left to type, I finally knew what I wanted to write so someday soon I'll have to finish that but I have other fandom obligations ready to type. So... it'll have to wait now that I posted the rough draft. I've got a fic rough draft due tomorrow that's gone from 0 words to 1,000 words. I've only got 4,000 words left to write. And I've got more caffeine, guarana, ginseng, B vitamins and other goodness in me than I know what to do with. I have two more fest fics in various states of doneness that need to be typed and finished. Off I go to strain my wrists as much as I strained my legs yesterday. Ian and I took a four mile walk to his work and back. My legs are still sore although we did do our usual bare minimum walk this morning. My eyes are blurry and I'm energized tired but I'm going to keep swimming. post comment
